I'm hoping you've come to realize that a good exercise program is like a valuable language arts lesson. One must have the KNOWLEDGE to know the type of exercise and benefits of the program chosen. The COMPREHENSION of said program is to understand what these benefits will do for you. Know what the APPLICATION of the exercise program is and eventually, what it will do for your physical and mental health and body. The ANALYSIS comes into play when you compare where you used to be and where you are now in physical strength, weight loss/gain and physical endurance. SYNTHESIS is when you modify your program along the way as you progress. And EVALUATION happens when you realize you'll stick with the chosen program or choose another. You are happy with the results or not, and then again decide to RE-EVALUATE your specific needs to your program. Was this the right program for you or not?
I have found the cardio-kick boxing class I chose for myself this year, although physically extremely taxing, it is the best program for me. I'm happy with the results and the physical endurance I've built up. Maybe this summer I'll tackle a 'zumba class!'
What about you?

  1. I don't know if I will be taking any classes over summer. I think that since my own program of playing different sports seems to be working, I will just stick to it until later on in the future. In the future, however, I do hope to try different classes to see if I can find another hobby I enjoy.

  2. I joined a gym and have really seen the difference. I was very slim before and now I can see some muscle definition. As I said I have heart disease in my family, and I know the importance of staying physically fit. I also know exercising is important, not only for my heart but my overall physical and mental health. I do plan to continue exercising during the summer and for many years to follow.

  3. i really need to renew my gym membership! Jeese, gotta get on that! I did attend a zumba class for over a year at multiple gyms and it was a really fun experience!! I don't take anymore classes though, everyone just keeps moving on to other, further away locations. It is very disappointing

  4. I have a hard time with fast pace workouts, I prefer yoga or belly dancing. They are both very challenging because you are forced to control your body in a slower motion. Though belly dancing can be fast, it's pretty much slow and skilled.

  7. Over the summer, I would like to take some type of exercise class. It will be a good way for me to get motivated. It is easier to exercise for me in the summer because I can go swimming a lot more.

  8. We have plans for quite a bit of swimming over the summer. That will probably account for most of my PE. We are going camping though, and there's plenty of physical activity in the great outdoors. We also plan on visiting family by New York, so we'll probably be running all over town!

  9. I may be taking a dance class over the summer, though it terrifies me to try and do so. If I end up not, I plan on riding my bike to and from my friend's houses more for exercise and to enjoy the outdoors.

  11. well, for summer i plan to not only going once a day to the gym, but twice. In the mornings i will do cardio, and a core workout and in the evenings i shall do my actual workout. i believe this well enable me to put on body mass while also keeping my endurance up for the up coming hockey season. My main goal for summer is to put on between 10-15 pounds.

  12. This summer I plan to do a lot of swimming and continue my walking routine with my dogs. We really like our walks together! After evaluating my current routine, I think it works well, but it will become better with the addition of swimming. I have also been thinking about maybe adding jogging and running into my routine. I will also be adding Razor scooter riding into my exercise over this summer, something that I haven't done in a long time because I had been so busy with school work over the past three years. I'm really looking forward to it!
