Thank you for your insightful comments. I appreciate it. And to those of you who've shared that you have a family member battling this horrid disease we call cancer, I too pray daily that it is soon wiped out!
On another note, the holidays are soon upon us and for many that means less time to exercise and more time eating! Personally, I prefer to exercise/walk in the morning so I'll have the rest of the day free. But, with daylight saving, it is VERY DARK at 5:30 in the morning so I've had to adjust my routine. I also LOVE to cook and share my cooking with family/friends, so that's when I have to share more and eat less while maintaining my exercise regime. Share with me how you will maintain your exercise routine knowing that you/your family will possibly be traveling and sharing good food for many days at a time that you normally don't indulge in on a regular basis. (ENJOY the good food/treats though!!)

As the holidays approach, I will definitely begin to enjoy all the good foods and treats. I view exercising as an enjoyable activity rather than something I need to get done. Therefore, I will continue to play sports during the holidays to help me stay fit from all the food.
ReplyDeleteFor Thanksgiving I usually do the cooking like ,cake ,cookies, and brownies so by the time i'm done baking them and my family does, plus i'm to tired to eat them. So i'm safe this month. And my usual workout is an hour jog in the morning and afternoon on my treadmill.
ReplyDeleteAround the holidays I find it extreamly difficult to maintain your exercise routines, simpily because of the fact that you'll be sharing delicious food with the family for many days at a time. For myself, the best solution for this problem is to exercise for a half hour before I go to bed. This way I will burn a few calories and I won't be sleeping with pounds of food in my system.
ReplyDeleteI don't adjust my routine for the holidays. I'm stick thin and could stand to put on a few over the holiday season.
ReplyDeleteDuring the holidays my family goes to the mountains to go skiing and snowboarding. I will be getting excercise that way during the holidays.

My exercise routine doesn't really change. I ride a BMX bike and practice tricks and can do this in the afternoon.
