December week 3

Christmas holiday is fast upon us and there's no way around all the goodies! Make a game plan for during the holidays and stick to it. (an eating game plan) Stay positive and enjoy all the goodies, but in moderation (Mrs. D. needs to follow this advice too!) Keep exercising! (remember a brisk walk in the park is exercise!)
I wish you a happy and healthy New Year!
I'll blog with you in 2012!

  1. It’s always hard to stay away from all the goodies during winter break. And since I know it is going to be tempting to overeat, I need to continue to play sports and exercise during the holidays to help me stay fit from all the excess food.

  2. Thankfully my family leaves most of the cooking to me and I like to keep my recipes as simple and healthy as I can. Though it's another story when my grandma comes in to visit! I can't keep away from the delicious Spanish/Native American foods! I have to learn to enjoy all the foods in moderation.

  3. It's always hard to keep on a good eating plan during the holiday time. First Thanksgiving, and now Christmas! I'm sure everyone is struggling with this. However, I am going to do my very best to stick with my healty eating habits. So far, it has been working out well. Also, just a tip, I left the soda and other caffeine, and have stuck to only drinking water. This in itself has many benefits. I have lost 2 pounds in just drinking water, it helps clear your system, it keeps you refreshed, and it really clears your face of zits, pimples, etc. Since our body is mostly made up of water, and with all these caffeinated drinks around us, it is very important that we drink lots of water. But I just wanted to share this great tip. Hope everyone has a great winter break!

  4. I don't have to worry about eating too many goodies. I have a very fast metabolism and could really stand to eat as much as I can. I know it is not this way for others, but for me I was made to eat and I love it.

  5. I find it challenging to stay away from the delicious foods, ecpecially around the holidays. Aribic food is my ultimate favorite, and when the entire family gets together for the holidays, we love to laugh, kick back, and eat. I have a sweet tooth for aribic sweets. My grandfather always sends in homemade aribic sweets from Lebenon and I absolutely love them. I view the holidays as times when you make wonderful memories with your loved ones and I think it's okay to let loose and grub. You shouldn't worry about your weight at a time like this. Enjoy and cherish every moment with your loved ones, litierally, as if it were your last. Trust me, you will have plenty of time to exercise in the new year.

  6. My dad will be making sure we go to the gym. I don't have to worry about eating too much, my family are not big eaters. And we don't eat a lot of desserts and candy. But I am looking forward to Christmas Eve dinner.
